About

Mairangi Bay is a relaxed beachside village on the East Coast Bays. There is a small shopping strip, a sandy beach a short walk away and the coastal walkway close by. It has the feel of a seaside town while still being part of the North Shore.

Eat and drink

The village has cafés, restaurants with ocean views, takeaways and a handful of boutique, homeware and fashion shops. Paper Moon on Beach Road is a modern Kiwi restaurant with outdoor seating, and it is dog friendly.

Why people love it

People love the easy rhythm of village life: a swim or a walk along the water, then coffee or dinner a few minutes from home. It suits buyers who want to do a good part of their week on foot, with the beach as their backyard.

Out and about

The beach is the main drawcard, with the coastal walks stretching either way along the bays. It is a popular spot for a morning swim, a stroll with the dog or a sunset walk.
